The Ivory Triptych is an assembly quest item added to the Weeden Underground in late 1998 by Steppin and Ching. It is a holdable that provides +int and +wis, often used for leveling or to boost mana regen providing a potential +6% mnR See Regen Bonuses.
The Triptych is comprised of three panels:
Left Panel
Loads on: Black High Priest (belt blocks) / Horned Demon (crystalblade, wand, Letter from Prosper will block load) Letter must load for panel to load (75%)
Description:
Judging from the finely crafted grooves on the edge of the panel, this is the left third of an elaborate ivory triptych that is no longer in one piece. The image carved in the ivory is still in sharp relief, but the inscription above it is less clear.
Center Panel
Loads on: White High Priest (ceremonial dagger or 3 transparent potion blocks) / Portmaster
Description:
Well worked slots on both sides of the panel indicate this fragment as the central third in a lost triptych. Wherever its counterparts may be, the' ivory relief and the inscription atop the metal rim are both in an astounding state of preservation.
Right Panel
Loads on: Minotaur (2-handed battle axe blocks)
Description:
Judging from the finely crafted grooves on the edge of the panel, this is the right third of an elaborate ivory triptych that is no longer in one piece. Although the inscription atop the carving has been more or less worn down, the carving itself is still in fine shape.
Assembled Item Description:
The image on the finished product bears no resemblance to the individual ivories on the three original panels. You blink as you move in to take a closer look at the relief.
Extra descs:
The original figures are gone, and the flowing white of the ivory has run together to create a relief-image map of the world. Cities, mountains, and rivers are all woven with astounding skill through the relief of the ivory. But even as you pause to admire the workmanship, the relief shifts, almost too subtle, a forest growing, a village gone, but not forever.
