RESCUE Level: P10, R7, W3 Cost: none Target: one player engaged in combat When: combat only Delay: none Duration: instantaneous Effect: Rescue allows the user to barge into a combat and take the place of someone who is being hit. This skill is especially helpful when grouped with fragile people, such as newbies and mages. Another application of the rescue skill is at the start of melee with a boss which employs DEFENDER_PROCS. Because the rescue skill has no lag delay, a warrior can start melee with a bash, and at bash success, another warrior rescues, the first warrior applying the start of a grapple chain.
With zero delay, these actions can occur within one round. Once the grapple chain has begun, successive warriors or rangers grapple every three rounds until the end of melee, hopefully preventing the firing of the bosses' PROCS. Usage: rescue <target> rescue gerald See also: Calm
