STRIKE Level: S29 Cost: variable Target: victim When: combat non-combat Delay: 2 rounds Duration: n/a Effect: A highly experienced sohei can channel all of his or her energy -- hp, mana, and moves -- into one spectacular strike on a very unfortunate victim. The sohei cannot be wielding a weapon when using strike. Note: STRIKE will use only the HP and MOVES of the striking sohei. To successfully strike a target, a sohei must have at least a minimum combination of 300 HP + MOVES. Because mana is not significant, consider beefing up your HP and MOVE bonus equipment. Using mana channel in conjunction with strike and meditate increases the number of strikes a sohei can deal before requiring a restore, heal or rejuvenate. Check this table for mobs that are !strike. Damage for strike is hard capped at (1000 + (25 * # of remorts)) Usage: strike <victim>
Errata:
The STRIKE skill currently applies the FISTS OF FURY skill bonus to applied STRIKE damage. That is, when a sohei strikes a victim, it will damage the victim by the full amount of the strike (1000 + (25 * sohei remorts), AND it will do an additional amount of damage equal to just the REMORT BONUS portion of the sohei's strike damage.
This second damage attack is currently available regardless of whether or not the Sohei is focused on FISTS OF FURY.
For example, the Statue of LordWilliam, in Skara Brae, possesses approximately 2500 HP. If a 50 remort sohei were to successfully strike the statue of Hurin, and it has perfect stats (max base stats and max regen stats) it would receive the following message via AUTODAM:
Your fist lands squarely on the statue of LordWilliam's temple. {2250}
Your blow forces the statue of LordWilliam's nose through his brain. {1250}
The initial strike damages the mob by 2250, leaving a mob remainder of about 250 HP. The bonus attack, provided by the FISTS OF FURY skill focus, then damages the victim another 1250, the remort bonus provided a 50 remort sohei.
