The gossip channel is dedicated to site-wide broadcasts of messages to the entire playerbase. While the auction channel (AUC) is dedicated to the buying and selling of equipment, the gossip channel plays hosts to a variety of topics without bounds.
Keep in mind that the gossip channel is public, and when you gossip, you are broadcasting to the entire mud.
To hide chatter from the gossip channel, type 'nogos'.
To re-enable the gossip channel, type 'nogos' again.
