In-Game Quests

In-Game Quests have been implemented but not used until just recently. To identify an in-game questmaster, you'll see this marquee:

A statue of Obi-wan Kenobi stands here smiling at you.
...the statue of Obi-wan Kenobi glows with a bright light!
...he offers a quest. (type quest list for more details).

To get a list of the quests the mob offers, type:

>quest list

The quest master will display its quests in quest order:

It's a good idea to join quests in sequential order. You'll only be able to join one quest at a time, so plan accordingly. Some quests are timed, and you'll be notified how many game hours (turns) you have been allotted to complete a quest in order to reap the rewards.

Joining a Quest

To get initial details about a quest, join the quest:

>quest join 1

You join the quest.
Aegon Listen carefully to the instructions.
Bring a message from the Statue of Obi-Wan Kenobi to the Princess Leia on Tatooine.
Aegon You have a time limit of 12 turns to complete the quest.

Time Limits

Some quests limit the amount of time you have to complete them. Pay close attention to the time limit. The limit is expressed in terms of "turns" which is analagous to in-game "hours" or "ticks." If you run out of time, you'll have to rejoin the quest and start over.

Quest Types

Here is a table of quest types:

Quest Type	Comments	Rewards
Kill Mob	Kill the target mob.	Instantaneous. As soon as the mob is killed, if you've done so under your initial time limit, you will achieve any rewards indicated for the quest.
Find Mob	Enter the room where the target mob resides.	Instantaneous. As soon as the mob is located, if you've done so under your initial time limit, you will achieve any rewards indicated for the quest.
Rescue Mob	Kill all mobs in the room occupied by the target mob.	Instantaneous. As soon as room is cleared of all mobs but the target mob, if you've done so under your initial time limit, you will achieve any rewards indicated for the quest.
Clear Room	Clear the target room of all mobs.	Instantaneous. As soon as room is cleared of all mobs, if you've done so under your initial time limit, you will achieve any rewards indicated for the quest.
Find Object	Enter the room where the target object resides.	Instantaneous. As soon as the object is located, if you've done so under your initial time limit, you will achieve any rewards indicated for the quest.
Return Object	Return a target object to a target mob.	Instantaneous. As soon as the target object is given to the target mob, if you've done so under your initial time limit, you will achieve any rewards indicated for the quest. The target object may be a previous load.

Quest Rewards

When you complete your quest, you will be awarded quest points, gold, experience and/or equipment. Currently you'll have to check your score for QP:

You have scored 39999999 exp, and have 1345929 gold coins.
You have earned 5 quest points.
You have completed 1 quest, and your current quest is: Enlisting the help of Luke Skywalker [3002]
You have been playing for 27 days and 7 hours.
You have rerolled 5 of 5 times and have a total of 0 remorts.
You have died 132 times as long as you have owned this character,
     in which 2 deaths occurred at this level.
You were born on the 30th Day of the Month of the Giant Slug, Year 601.

After completing the first Obi-Wan statue quest, Aegon earned 5 QP, which is now displayed in his score. If there is a NEXT quest configured in the Questmaster's list, you'll see it displayed as the current quest. You'll won't have to manually join this quest to activate it. If you are not ready to start this quest, you'll have to leave the quest manual (see below).

Leaving a Quest

You can only join a single quest at a time. If you'd like to come back to a quest later, leave the quest:

> quest leave

This will abandon your current quest. Note: There may be a penalty for leaving a quest.

Dying During a Quest

If you were to perish during a quest, the quest will be removed from your active quest focus, and you'll have to start over.

Repeatable Quests

Some quests are repeatable. You can repeat them and receive the same reward. If you complete a repeatable quest and return to the Questmaster, the quest will show not completed. This is normal for repeatable quests.

Quest Progress

To refresh your memory about your current quest goals, type

> quest progress

The Questmaster will tell you how many of an objective you've currently achieved as well as how many "turns" are left. If you feel that you cannot fulfill the quest parameters given your time allotted, you should leave the quest at this point and start again. You can get a quest progress report anytime and anywhere. You do not have to be proximate to the Questmaster.

Quest Time Expired

If the quest timer has expired, you will not be notified. The current quest will be removed and you will have no current quests.
