BAN UNBAN<br />

These commands prevent anyone from a site with a hostname <br />
containing the site substring from logging in to the game. You may <br />
ban a site to ALL, NEW or SELECT players. Banning a site to NEW <br />
players prevents any new players from registering. Banning a site to <br />
ALL players disallows ANY connections from that site. Banning a site <br />
SELECTively allows only players with SITE_OK flags to log in from <br />
that site. Ban with no argument returns a list of currently banned <br />
sites.<br />

You may also "screen ban" a site. This is similar to a NEW ban, but<br />
instead of banning new players outright, it displays a message to all<br />
AVTR+ online informing them that a new player wishes to be <br />
accepted. The AVTR+ may then decide whether or not to allow that <br />
player to join. This is useful to prevent problem users using offensive <br />
names and the like while still allowing legitimate newbies to enter <br />
the game, but is not an ideal long-term solution since an AVTR+ needs <br />
to be present and able to respond promptly to requests for acceptance.<br />

Unban removes the ban.<br />

Note: it is helpful to use numeric address whenever possible.<br />
All bans must be posted to the ban board (obj. 6918) as soon as possible <br />
after they are placed, or they may be removed. Your post should include <br />
the reason for banning the site and, if it's temporary, how long it <br />
should last.<br />
